As‌ ‌the‌ ‌leader‌ ‌of‌ ‌a‌ ‌team‌ ‌of‌ ‌specialists‌ ‌and‌ ‌a‌ ‌large‌ ‌hospital‌ ‌department,‌ I‌ ‌was‌ ‌delighted‌ ‌to‌ ‌put‌ ‌forward‌ ‌a‌ ‌teamwork‌ ‌problem‌ ‌I‌ ‌faced‌ ‌regularly‌ ‌at‌ ‌work.‌ ‌The‌ ‌modelling‌ ‌of‌ ‌my‌ ‌scenario‌ ‌was‌ ‌fascinating‌ ‌and‌ ‌revealed‌ ‌problems‌ ‌I‌ ‌had‌ ‌felt‌ ‌but‌ ‌could‌ ‌not‌ ‌articulate‌ ‌until‌ ‌I‌ ‌had‌ ‌been‌ ‌walked‌ ‌through‌ ‌the‌ ‌concerns‌ ‌of‌ ‌each‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌key‌ ‌participants‌ ‌in‌ ‌our‌ ‌real‌ ‌problem.‌ ‌The‌ ‌clincher‌ ‌was‌ ‌the‌ ‌revelation‌ ‌of‌ ‌an‌ ‌“impossible”‌ ‌problem.‌ ‌Ingrid‌ was great ‌taking‌ ‌me‌ ‌through‌ ‌the‌ ‌necessary‌ ‌steps‌ ‌to‌ ‌model‌ ‌this‌ ‌scenario‌ ‌and‌ ‌fly‌ ‌me‌ ‌up‌ ‌to‌ ‌a‌ ‌clearer‌ ‌view‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌team’s‌ ‌dilemma.‌ ‌It‌ ‌was‌ ‌a‌ ‌privilege‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌taken‌ ‌through‌ ‌the‌ ‌issues‌ ‌this‌ ‌way‌ ‌so‌ ‌I‌ ‌can‌ ‌use‌ ‌this‌ ‌clarification‌ ‌to‌ ‌help‌ ‌my‌ ‌team‌ ‌move‌ ‌forward.
Ingrid worked with me to help me design a new organisation structure to meet our rapidly changing business needs.  I thought I knew what was needed by analysing the work that needed to be done. But what I had sketched out felt wrong. By going through the mapping exercise it became crystal clear to me what the real issues were and I was able to come up with a much more coherent structure that I have now implemented. I am so glad I went through the process and would recommend them to any CEO wrestling with organisational issues.
